THE PROCESS IN A NUTSHELL

What is Sporosan®?

Sporosan® is a new disinfecting process that works in seconds. The active substance in Sporosan® is peroxynitrous acid (ONOOH), a short-lived yet exceptionally powerful compound. A patented two-component system generates ONOOH when needed, delivering verified efficacy against:

  • bacteria (including multidrug-resistent pathogens)
  • enveloped and non-enveloped viruses
  • yeasts and moulds
  • mycobacteria
  • endospores (e.g.C. difficile spores) 

STEP-BY-STEP

1. SEPARATE STARTING MATERIALS

The starting materials nitrite (NO2) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are present separately.

2. PRODUCTION OF THE DISINFECTANT

The starting materials are mixed and peroxynitrous acid (ONOOH) is formed. 

3. DISINFECTING ACTION

The peroxynitrous acid (ONOOH) takes effect within seconds.

4. ACTIVE SUBSTANCE DECOMPOSES

The active substance dissolves completely.
