TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY STATEMENT FOR THE MEIKO PRIZE DRAW
1. The organiser of the prize draw is MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, Englerstraße 3, 77652 Offenburg (hereinafter ‘MEIKO’).
2. Eligibility
All natural persons who have reached the age of 18 and who visit the Interschutz 2026 trade fair during the event are eligible to enter. Employees of MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, their relatives, and third parties involved in organising the prize draw are excluded from taking part.
3. Terms and conditions of participation and participation procedure
3.1 Participation requirements
Participation is free of charge and not linked to the purchase of goods or services. To take part, visitors must visit all three MEIKO stands at Interschutz:
● Location 1: Hall 14, Booth L21 (TopClean D with brush, TopClean C, separation in dirty and clean areas, waste water filter system, machine care agent, planning of SCBA workshop)
● Location 2: Outdoor area T90 between Halls 11 and 12 (mobileSCBA workshop – trailer)
● Location 3: Outdoor area S149 at FireFit Europe by the east entrance between Halls 7 and 9 (mobile SCBA workshop – van)
Participants will receive a stamp at each location. Participation is only possible with all three stamps.
3.2 Entry form
The completed entry form must be handed in at Location 2: Outdoor area T90 between Halls 11 and 12. The form must include the following mandatory details:
● First name and surname
● Fire service/organisation/company
● Job title
● E-mail address
● Street and house number
● Postcode
● Country
Providing a telephone number is optional.
4. Prizes and specific terms and conditions
The following prizes will be drawn from among all participants who have submitted a fully completed form and collected all three stamps:
4.1 1st prize: Charcoal barbecue for you and your fire service
The barbecue will be sent free of charge to the delivery address within Europe specified on the entry form. MEIKO will cover the delivery costs. There is no entitlement to a cash alternative or to a substitute prize.
4.2 2nd prize: A visit to the fire station at Europa-Park in Rust with 3 friends
Scope of the prize:
The prize includes a visit to the fire station at Europa-Park in Rust for the winner and up to 3 accompanying persons (a maximum of 4 people in total). The prize includes admission tickets for the visit to the fire station as well as access to Europa-Park on the day of the visit.
Restrictions and conditions:
● The prize is valid for one visit between 1 June 2026 and 31 December 2027 and requires a prior appointment to be arranged with Europa-Park.
● The visit must be requested at MEIKO by 31 March 2027 at the latest. After this deadline, the claim expires.
● Travel to and from the park, as well as accommodation costs, are not included in the prize and must be borne by the winner.
● The winner is responsible for organising and covering the costs of travel to and from the park, as well as any necessary accommodation.
● Changes or cancellations to the booked date are only possible in consultation with Europa-Park.
● The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
● MEIKO accepts no liability for damage, accidents or loss incurred by the winner or their accompanying persons during their visit to Europa-Park, unless such damage, accidents or loss are due to wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of MEIKO. Liability for personal injury remains unaffected by this.
● The general terms and conditions and house rules of Europa-Park Rust apply.
● Should Europa-Park cease operations at the fire station or be unable to offer the service, MEIKO reserves the right to award an equivalent alternative prize.
4.3 3rd price: Classroom training course “Respiratory Protection Expertise” with a value of €849
Scope of the prize:
The prize includes free participation in a classroom training course “Respiratory Protection Expertise” with a value of €849. The training course will be conducted by MEIKO or a partner designated by MEIKO.
Restrictions and conditions:
● The prize is valid for participation in a training session taking place in the calendar year 2026, 2027 or 2028.
● The training session must be registered with MEIKO by 31 December 2027 at the latest. After this deadline, the claim expires.
● The training will take place at locations specified by MEIKO. It is not possible to choose the training location.
● Travel to and from the park, as well as accommodation costs, are not included in the prize and must be borne by the winner.
● There are no specific requirements for participation in the training. Please note that the training is primarily designed for SCBA technicians, and knowledge of the field of work is desirable but not strictly required.
● The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
● The prize cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
● MEIKO reserves the right to postpone or cancel training sessions for good cause (e.g. illness of the trainer, insufficient number of participants). In this case, the winner will be offered an alternative date.
● MEIKO accepts no liability for any damage incurred by the winner in connection with participation in the training course, unless such damage is due to wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of MEIKO. Liability for personal injury remains unaffected by this.
● The general terms and conditions of participation for the respective training course apply, which will be communicated to the winner when they register.
4.4 Common provisions for all prizes
There is no entitlement to a cash payment or to the award of an alternative prize, unless otherwise specified in these terms and conditions. The winner’s name and place of residence (city only) will only be published for MEIKO’s promotional purposes with the winner’s prior explicit consent, which will be obtained as part of the prize notification.
5. Selection of winners and prize notification
The winners will be selected by random draw following the conclusion of Interschutz 2026. The draw will take place without the public being present. The winners will be notified by e-mail within 14 days of the end of the trade fair. Should a winner fail to respond within 7 days of the notification being sent, the claim to the prize expires. No further draw will take place.
6. Data processing
Personal data will be collected and processed for the purpose of running the prize draw. Please refer to the privacy statement below for further details. Participation in the competition requires consent to the processing of data for the purpose of running the prize draw and notifying winners.
6.1 Consent to advertising
You may optionally consent to the use of your data for the purpose of receiving information about products and services from MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG via e-mail. This consent is voluntary and is not a prerequisite for participation in the competition. You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in each e-mail or by sending a message to the contact address specified in the privacy statement.
7. Liability
MEIKO shall not be liable for any damage resulting from technical faults, errors in data transmission, circumstances beyond its control or other circumstances for which MEIKO is not responsible. MEIKO reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition in whole or in part at any time without giving reasons. In such a case, participants shall have no claim to the prices offered.
MEIKO shall only be liable for the services provided as part of the prizes (e.g. a visit to Europa-Park, participation in training) within the scope of the specific conditions set out above and in accordance with legal provisions. If third parties are commissioned to provide the prize, MEIKO shall only be liable for the careful selection and instruction of such third parties.
MEIKO’s liability is – to the extent permitted by law – limited to intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, MEIKO shall only be liable for breaches of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) and only for foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Liability for personal injury and under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected by this limitation.
8. Severability clause
Should any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
9. Jurisdiction and applicable law
The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, with the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction shall be, to the extent permitted by law, MEIKO’s registered office.

2. Purpose and legal basis for data processing

2.1 Conducting the prize draw (necessary)
Purpose: Conducting the prize draw, including determining the winner and notifying the winner
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract). Participation in a competition constitutes an offer within the meaning of Sections 657 and 661 of the German Civil Code (BGB), which establishes a contractual obligation.

2.2 Use for advertising purposes (voluntary)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time. It is not a prerequisite for participation in the competition.

3. Recipients or categories of recipients
Within MEIKO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, only those employees who require your data to run the competition will have access to it. Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless this is necessary to run the competition or you have expressly consented to such a transfer.
4. Data retention period
Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to run the competition. Once the competition has ended and any warranty periods have expired, the data will be deleted, provided that no legal retention obligations prevent this or you have consented to further use. If you have consented to the use of your data for marketing purposes, your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent.
5. Your rights as a data subject
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
5.1 Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
You may request confirmation from us as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed by us. If this is the case, you have the right to access this data as well as to further information specified in Art. 15 GDPR.
5.2 Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
You have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. Furthermore, you have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data, taking into account the purposes of the processing.

6. Obligation to provide data
The provision of your personal data is required for participation in the competition. Without this data, you cannot take part in the competition. Voluntary consent to the use of your data for advertising purposes is not a prerequisite for participation in the competition.
7. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR
