PROFESSIONAL PPE PROCESSING SOLUTIONS

Professionals operating in high-risk and contaminated environments face daily exposure to harmful residues. Since 2011, MEIKO has supported their safety with advanced cleaning solutions designed to remove carcinogenic combustion byproducts from respiratory protective equipment.

QUICK, GENTLE ON MATERIALS, AND SAFE

We develop solutions with firefighters for firefighters, for them to use in cleaning and disinfecting equipment, while remaining gentle on the materials. We also plan RPE workshops with a focus on RPE technician safety since they are exposed to carcinogenic residues on the personal protective equipment (PPE) when they clean it.

In July 2022, the International Agency for Research on Cancer – part of the World Health Organization – classified  firefighting as a cancer-causing occupation . Firefighters have a significantly higher risk of developing cancer than the general population. Here at MEIKO Protect, we are doing everything we can to protect rescue workers' health – before, during, and after a fire. After all, we have a common goal: protecting life.

We will plan your RPE workshop to be future-proof and cost-effective, whether it is a small RPE workshop serving a voluntary fire department, a large hygiene center serving heavy industry or anything in between. MEIKO employees will expertly guide you through the process.

We provide regular maintenance on MEIKO appliances to help them last. Our service technicians offer speedy and reliable assistance for maximum operational reliability ­­­– even in hard-to-reach locations.

4. Chemicals

When cleaning your respiratory protective equipment, always obey the manufacturer's instructions for handling your PPE. You can download instructions for using our machines from MEIKO  PartnerNet.  MEIKO  service will be happy to help if you have questions.

5. ACADEMY

Hygiene, disinfection, legal requirements. Our in-house and visiting experts are here to bring you the latest expertise. We offer in-person training at our MEIKO Academy or on-site at fire stations, as well as providing online options.

6. Connect

High connectivity thanks to a WLAN and Bluetooth interface. Fast data exchange simplifies documentation and monitoring of operating costs.

MEIKO TopClean D

The professional solution for cleaning personal protective equipment (PPE), the TopClean D replaces manual washing to better protect SCBA technicians. Although PPE is designed to be water-resistant, soot and harmful residues require a thorough, controlled cleaning process. The TopClean D uses oscillating wash pipes to ensure complete coverage inside the wash chamber — reaching all surfaces without missed areas. MEIKO’s patented heads for BA masks prevent water and contaminants from entering the interior of the masks during cleaning. The result: maximum safety in the SCBA workshop while reducing water, energy, and labor time.

MEIKO TopClean M

Up to 40 masks per hour are cleaned and disinfected using MEIKO’s advanced cleaning process — helping protect equipment technicians while improving consistency and hygiene in the SCBA workshop. Automated machine cleaning replaces manual washing, reducing handling, minimizing health risks, and ensuring reliable results every cycle. The TopClean M is safe, gentle on materials, and approved by leading SCBA mask manufacturers — delivering proven hygiene performance in a space-saving design.

THE RACK SYSTEM

Clever, flexible and ergonomic

The rack system for TopClean machines is used to decontaminate, clean and disinfect masks, regulators, self contained breathing apparatuses and more.

  • The universal rack in the TopClean D decon machine features plastic heads to prevent contamination to the inside of the SCBA masks.
  • The TopClean M machine for advanced cleaning and disinfection employs a rack concept that uses a base rack with various attachments for use with equipment from all popular manufacturers.

BA MASKS

The large rack for BA masks in the TopClean D helps SCBA technicians to quickly clean SCBA masks. Per hour: up to 180 SCBA masks depending on the level of contamination.
