What if you didn't need staff anymore?
Meiko presents AI-supported automation study at HOST in Milan

At the HOST trade show in Italy from 17 to 21 October 2025, Meiko will be showcasing impressive warewashing technology, integrated food waste treatment systems and provide an outlook on what will soon be coming onto the market. These solutions are designed to address the challenges faced by the catering industry. There will be exciting insights into an AI-supported automation study, which will demonstrate live how flight type dishwashing machines could operate without staff in the feeding section.

In commercial kitchens, major challenges include staff shortages, fluctuating guest numbers and high operating costs. There is a lot of potential in the dishwashing area: good planning, smart technology and automation can solve problems. Meiko has developed the M-iFlow IPB feeding device to make the dishwashing area more efficient. The module reduces the number of staff needed at the dishwashing machine infeed by up to 50%*, thereby lowering operating costs (*compared to a Meiko M-iQ Flighttype Dishwashing Machine without M-iFlow IPB module). Various types of crockery can be entered, food waste is automatically removed, and employees work ergonomically.

Meiko goes one step further and presents an AI-supported automation study that can save by up to 100% of personnel at the feeding section through the targeted use of artificial intelligence. The M-iQ BlueFire® flight type dishwashing machine, M-iFlow IPB and another component will demonstrate this impressively in Milan.

MEIKOGREEN meets MEIKOCLEAN
The visitors to the 300 m² booth will experience a special live demonstration: a small catering dishwashing area will not only show the production of a healthy smoothie, but also how organic kitchen waste is shredded and transported after tusing the BioMaster® food waste system. The reusable plastic smoothie cup is washed in a M-iClean HL and dried using the QuickDry drying system. The demonstration illustrates how a perfectly planned dishwashing area and powerful technology can effortlessly handle food waste, organic waste and washware.

For Meiko, planning a professional dishwashing area means integrating warewashing technology (MEIKO Clean) and food waste management (MEIKO GREEN) in the best possible way, depending on the size of the space. A global campaign will be launched at HOST.
